Prior to treatment one of Rest Assured’s Bed Bug Specialist will perform a thorough on-site inspection to confirm an infestation. Many companies are charging large fees for “trained” dogs to provide a pre and post treatment inspection. Canines, while accurate in laboratory situations, have proven less accurate in the field. Our bed bug team has found bed bugs that canines have missed. If service is required, we will provide instructions in writing for any needed preparations. In most instances little preparation is required due to our proven methodology.
The Preparation
We will provide you with a preparation sheet specific to your situation. We will gather information on the number of beds, sizes, types of bed frames, and other specifics to your situation, so that we can understand the obstacles that we must prepare for. **PLEASE NOTE** Do not throw any of your beds, furniture or bedding away before you talk to us. Many companies recommend you throw everything out and buy new, in part because of their lack of understanding bed bugs. Your preparation generally involves tidying up the floor area and other minor task.. Because of our thorough understanding of this pest and our methods used, we require very little occupant preparation compared to other pest control companies.
The Main Treatment
A typical treatment will take 2.5-5 hours to complete, is very comprehensive and will have you sleeping bite free your very first night. We use the safest and most effective products available. Our multi-tiered solution will quickly eliminate all of the bed bugs and further protect you from any re-infestations for 1 Year or longer. You and your pets can safely re-enter the treated areas, once the product is dry. After the treatment we will provide you with a written post treatment strategy to insure a quick and long term elimination. Follow Up Treatments
In most cases a follow-up treatment is not needed, because our protocols when followed, are very effective. On the rare occasion that we need to return, it is usually for a touch up job on items like a sofa, where a combination of factors will enable a short persistence. If any persistence occurs we will gladly come and retreat the entire home if necessary.
